Laying the Foundations is our comprehensive 18-part introduction to permaculture and the first course in the APW Foundation Programme.
Your registration includes 18 professionally produced videos, structured learning and activities, online hui and webinars, downloadable resources, forum participation, access to tutors and the wider learning community, and opportunities to connect in person through our opening and closing events.
More than simply an online course, Laying the Foundations is an opportunity to explore permaculture with others and begin a longer learning journey through the APW Foundation Programme.

Standard Community — $500
Our standard course fee and the best reflection of the cost of delivering the programme.
Supported Community — $400
For people who would benefit from a lower course fee to make participation possible.

For participation supported by an employer or organisation, or where the course is being undertaken primarily for professional development.

These bundles are designed to help bring people together locally — sharing the learning journey and exploring how the ideas can be applied in your own community and place.
We welcome registrations from councils, consultancies, NGOs, community organisations and educational institutions.
Organisational licences are available for groups wanting to undertake Laying the Foundations together, with optional facilitated discussion sessions available to help connect the course material with your organisation's work and professional practice.
